Center tunnel closeout panels

(Dec 13, 2025) Winter is back in New England, and these cold days long nights are slowing me down again. But I’m trying to push ahead to get my project flying!

I’m installing the closeout panels for a center tunnel. I had to modify the lower one with a small round cutout to accommodate the SCAT tubing that runs just below the main wing spar carrythru; this tubing is for heating the rear seats. The SCAT tubing is visible in the last photo below.  After fit checks with a cardboard template, I cut the panel then glued on the carpet facing with 3M Super 90.

Marking off area to be cut for HVAC tubing
Gluing carpet to the outside face
After trimming the carpet and adding notches to make it easier to wrap around the edges
Super 90 sprayed all around the edges
Install check looks good
