Rosen Sun Visors

(Sept 14, 2025) I’ve had Rosen sun visors in my club C172 for years and I use them all the time, so naturally I had to install a set in my plane too.  Rosen released a kit for the Sling TSi earlier this year and I bought a pair during an Oshkosh special. The adjustability of these visors is fantastic.

I diverged from the instructions a bit – rather than drill holes through the A-pillar into the door seal area, I installed M5 rivnuts just slightly forward on the canopy skin closer to the windscreen where the A-pillar is thicker, I think this position is better – plus, no interference with the door seal. This also allows the visors to be forward of my custom map light assembly, preventing interference with that part as well.
