Firewall Wiring Pass-thru

The firewall has a large opening, necessary to allow the large connectors to the Rotax ECU to pass through. The included close-out plates don’t seal up the hole nearly enough so I bought an off-the-shelf firewall grommet. It comes in two pieces that join together. I riveted this to new closeout plates that I made out of steel rather than aluminum.

I also spent a bit of time tidying up hoses, cables and wires in the engine bay. As suggested in the build manual, I’m making standoffs using a short length of rubber hose and nylon zip ties. It makes a huge difference!
